Happyogi is the systematic functional fitness solution for modern children who commonly face the health risks associated with sedentary life and rapid growth.

With respect to the body mechanics and functional training principles, Happyogi binds yoga alignment and functional exercises into a tailored course for children from 4 to 14 years old, the practitioners are divided into three age groups ranging from 4-6 years, 7-11 years, 12-14 years according to their physical development needs.

Happyogi’s selection of yoga asanas, under the guidance of experienced instructors, is complemented by functional training aiming at fully mobilizing and activating children’s joints, ligaments and muscles. Through acquiring the basics of body alignment, children’s body awareness will be stimulated which will help them develop the postural and movement habits necessary to increase their overall fitness and athletic performance.

Correct Poor Posture
Poor posture is formed in daily life: how we sit and how we stand affects all aspects of our body. Sitting for too long or regularly maintaining poor posture can damage the spine and the joints. It weakens the core and tightens the hip flexors which can create tension and pain in the lower back. Standing with good posture is no more difficult than standing with poor posture. If we learn early how to maintain correct posture it will become our natural inclination in our daily life.
Happyogi uses yogic alignment principles as its guiding force, and chooses a broad range of functional practices to meet the needs of children and teenagers. Through its holistic curriculum, Happyogi helps children to cultivate their proprioception, improve their core strength and increase range of motion in the joints. By doing so, we help children and teenagers cultivate healthy posture and habits.
Prevent Athletic Injuries
The basics of movement are learned when we are children. If we don’t teach children how to move at a young age they can develop unhealthy movement patterns that can affect them throughout their lives. There are many benefits of organized sports, but if these sports are not practiced systematically, they may result in imbalance and injury!During the growth period, children can be permanently injured if they exercise improperly. Many children’s sports programs neglect this unfortunate reality.
Enhance Overall Sports Performance
Incorrect movement patterns happen unconsciously. We protect our weak muscles and use our strong ones to get where we are going. Over time this increases imbalance. The Happyogi program, instead, is designed to systematically bring the body back to balance and achieve a total development in strength and flexibility, this will allow children to increase their overall sports performance and physical awareness, thus promote the overall healthy development of children.

7-11 (Elementary Age)

Develop muscle memory and body awareness.
Practitioners will be introduced to the basics of posture and functional movement through a fun and systematic routine designed to compensate for sedentary habits and increase overall sports performance. Furthermore, key knowledge points will be presented to them at the beginning of each class and a semester-based assessment will help them to not only remember the rationales but also know how to apply them into their daily life.

12-14 (Early Adolescence Age)

Systematically enhance body’s flexibility, strength, and coordination,enhance healthy posture
The focus with the early teenage group is on enhancing coordination through strength and flexibility,cultivate good postural habits in a fast-growing phase. The students will learn to identify physical misalignment, what daily routine that misalignment may be related to, and acquire a step-by-step routine to correct their problem.

Three levels

Happyogi adopts a three-level curriculum, the student’s level is determined by the amount of time previously invested in practice, so that children can continually gain ability and knowledge throughout the program,while having fun and pleasure to achieve a life-long gift!

Academic quality control

Happyogi curriculum has a long-term follow-up evaluation system to track children’s class performance and progress.
With a detailed and individualized record of the overall class performance, the mastery level of learning content (both in knowledge and in practices) and a personalized training recommendation, parents and teachers can have a clear overview of each child’s progress at the end of each semester.

Her athletic career has taken her all over the world and put her in contact with countless inspirational people. She draws from these experiences in her programs and classes and has a unique ability to motivate and teach students of all levels.

Stephen is from Canada. He began to work as an athletic trainer in 2005 and has been a movement instructor ever since. Stephen has experience at all levels of athletic conditioning from working with beginners, to high performance athletes to senior aged athletes. He has logged over 20000 class hours.
Led by world-class yoga and functional movement instructors, Happyogi selects domestic and foreign senior yoga instructors with excellent track records. Happyogi team is operating with the highest professional and ethical standards that meet the top international and bilingual schools’ requirements. Each teacher is certified, in house, through a Yoga Alliance accredited teacher training program. This is to ensure the quality of the teaching and standardize the content which is essential in order to ensure the true long-term benefits to our students and families.
